Team Takes Second at MARC Championships

Last Saturday the Bison made their return to the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference Championship. The Bison would place second overall in the team competition behind Marietta College, losing by one point. Despite the team loss individual boats would have good days, with the 1v placing second, the 2v and 3v both winning by open water, the freshmen four finishing in 5th, and the varsity four finishing 7th. Despite some early morning showers and high temperatures late in the day, conditions on Gifford Pinchot Lake proved great for racing.

Bucknell Takes Down #4 Army

Last Saturday, the Bucknell Bison traveled to Foster Joseph Sayer Lake, located in Bald Eagle State Park in Howard, PA. Conditions proved to be near perfect, despite some morning rain, with temperatures in the mid 60’s and minimal wind. The Bison would be joining Army and Penn State’s annual Faunce Cup racing. The Faunce Cup was created in 2015 to honor the memory of Penn State graduate and Arym ROTC member, Captain Brian R. Faunce, who was killed in action in Iraq in 2003.
