Bio
Athletic Career: I played four years of high school football, during which time I overcame a great deal of adversity and developed into the athlete I am today. I broke my toe on the first play of Freshman year, broke my leg in practice before the first game of Sophomore year, and made the Varsity team for 2 years, eventually starting every game of my Senior year, leading the team in number of snaps played. I also served as Honorary Team Captain during week 8, and received First Team All-State Academic and Honorable Mention All-Conference Defensive End recognition my senior year, despite weighing 175lbs soaking wet and playing across from Offensive Tackles conservatively heavier than 250lbs. Sophomore year I also threw shot-put and discus after healing from my leg injury, and Junior and Senior years I lifted and competed with my school’s Powerlifting Team. I walked onto the Bucknell Men’s Crew team this past fall with no rowing experience beyond using an Erg machine once at a rec center, and I have loved it so far.
Academics: I participated in Mock Trial sophomore through Senior year, earning Outstanding Attorney recognition my senior year and helping my team make it to the state tournament my sophomore year. I also took 12 AP classes because I am apparently a giant nerd who hates free time and sleep. At Bucknell, I am a member of the Presidential Fellows program, currently working with Dr. Massaro in the Geography department.
Family: My Father David went to Colgate University for undergrad, meaning my very presence at Bucknell causes him daily anguish. My Mother Connie went to SUNY Albany, and most of her family members still live in this vicinity. My older brother Dylan attends Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. My dog Fluffy is a Beagle-Bichon mix, and is the #1 thing I miss about home.
Favorite Things: Playing guitar, watching football, the relentless and all-encompassing pursuit of speed with the fellas, ping pong, long walks on the beach.
Fun Fact About Me: I can lick my elbow.
