“The team and I are thrilled to welcome Andrew back to Lewisburg!” head coach Dan Wolleben said. “He has great leadership skills and has been a student of the sport for some time. I’m excited to have someone so passionate about rowing stay with our program after graduating, and watch him start his coaching career at Bucknell.”
Following Viola’s senior year he was named to the 2024 ACRA Mid-Atlantic All Region team. He also was named to the MARC All Conference First Team three times. Viola started his rowing career at CRI in Boston before attending Bucknell.
“In the past few years, Bucknell Men’s Crew has built both speed and depth while also developing an excellent team culture,” Viola said. “Returning to this program, albeit from the launch this time, is exactly how I want to start my coaching career. I am very excited to work with Coach Wolleben and cannot wait to get started. Go Bison!”
