Started “rowing” in high school, because to this day Coach Dan still isn’t sure if what I learned could be labeled as rowing. Dillon came to Bucknell and was promptly assured, he did not know how to row. After a long fall and an aggressive winter of tears, he made it to the spring and with his first seat race was promptly told “Dillon, you only lost by a seat, but that was the worst rowing I have ever seen, so maybe you’ll make a boat move if you learn to row.” (Dan Wolleben). However, somehow, he finished the year with bronze in the 2V at the ECAC regatta, and more nicknames then most men get in a lifetime. The past 4 years have seen Dillon compete at British and Canadian Henley, race for New York Athletic club, win silver in the ACRA, and dramatically improve as a rower, if not as an athlete.
