Bio
Conrad Fite began rowing competitively during the summer before high school and has been on numerus club teams that have all pretty much disbanded after he joined said programs. He has participated in many regattas on the local, state and national level, including training with coaches from the Dutch National team in Holland. While training in Amsterdam he perfected the art of riding a bike to and from practice with no handlebars. (This is not true; however, he did almost end up as road kill on multiple occasions) Conrad is a movie connoisseur and his life was forever altered when at the age of 8 he stumbled upon the Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby DVD. Conrad loves puns and thus, his friends don’t love him. Conrad played many sports before rowing including soccer and lacrosse but looked like a confused gazelle while loping up and down the fields. Scarred as a result, Conrad turned to rowing. His rational: What else would I ever want to do every week night and Saturday morning for 2 hours, for four straight years? Conrad considers himself a native New Yorker even though he moved to Florida when he was 8. Conrad’s dad was a Big 10 swimmer at Northwestern – he “claims” a number of his records stood for decades. His mother, an avid tennis player, is a Bucknellian (‘Ray!). His much adored and missed little (for now) brother is a freshman in High School and an “expert Fortnite player”
