BCA Board Member Biographies

Scott Uebele '00 (President). Scott graduated from Bucknell in 2000 after first competing as a coxswain and then a lightweight rower, where he was captain of the Men’s team in 1999-2000. He has been the president of the BCA since 2006. He received a B.A. from Bucknell in Economics with minors in both International Relations and Religion. He went on to earn his M.B.A. in Finance from Seton Hall University in 2006, where he was awarded the Robert Tricolli Business Policy Award at commencement. He is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Chesapeake IRB, a clinical research services company. He currently resides in the Baltimore DC corridor with his wife and two sons.

Ben Finio '07. Ben graduated from Bucknell with a B.S. in mechanical engineering after a four-year rowing career, including serving as team captain his senior year. He currently manages the bucknellcrew.org website and alumni email communications. He has a Ph.D. in robotics from Harvard University (2012) and completed postdoctoral research positions at Tufts and Cornell Universities. He currently works for a K-12 science education nonprofit (Science Buddies) and lives in the greater Philadelphia area with his fiance, a rower from the Bucknell women's team.

Steve Ritchie '97. Steve graduated in 1997 after a four-year rowing career. As a charter member of the BCA he has been involved in fundraising and university and alumni relations. He received a B.S.-B.A. in Management from Bucknell and an MBA from Georgetown University in 2004. He currently works in biotechnology and biopharmeceuticals with experience in strategy, operations and human resources.

Dave Silver '97. David graduated from Bucknell in 1997 as a four year member of the squad. During his four years he filled the roles of Team President, Treasurer, and editor of the Backsplash newsletter. He earned Academic All-American honors from US Rowing in 1996. He received a BSBA in Accounting with a minor in Music from Bucknell and a MST from American University in 2004. He has spent his entire career in public accounting and currently a Partner at McGladrey, the 5th largest accounting firm in the US.  During the last 4 years he has hired 75 Bucknellians to his firm, including 3 rowers.  He has guest lectured at Bucknell and also worked as an adjunct professor at Bellarmine University. He has served on both business and community Boards. He currently resides in the Washington DC metropolitan area with his wife and kids.

Kells Green '10. Kells is an investment banking professional with Jefferies LLC in New York City. Since joining Jefferies, Kells has executed over 60 transactions raising in excess of $7.0 billion of capital for public and private issuers. A Class of 2010 graduate with a BSBA in Finance, he has been building his banking career ever since. Kells was the varsity coxswain at Bucknell and a member of the first Dad Vail gold medal 8 in program history.

Marc Burian '12. Marc graduated from Bucknell in 2012 after a four year rowing career. He received a B.S. in Computer Science from the University, and was captain of the team his senior year.

Dan Wolleben (head coach). Dan joined the team as head coach after a seven year successful coaching stint as an assistant coachwith the Bucknell Women's Rowing program.  Before that he coached at his alma mater, Fordham University, after a distinguished rowing career that saw him collect three Dad Vail Gold medals, one ECAC gold medal, and compete in two IRA Grand Finals.  Dan was inducted into the Fordham University Athletic Department Hall of Fame in 2012.  Dan became the head coach after previous coach Al Monte departed Bucknell to coach at Dartmouth.
