Scott Uebele '00 (President)

Scott graduated from Bucknell in 2000 after first competing as a coxswain and then a lightweight rower. He has been the president of the BCA since 2006.

He received a B.A. from Bucknell in Economics, International Relations, and Religion and an M.B.A. in Finance from Seton Hall University in 2006. He is currently the Director of Financial Reporting and Compliance at Research Pharmaceutical Services.

Ben Finio '07 (Secretary)

Ben graduated in 2007 after rowing for four years, and was the captain of the team for the 06-07 academic year. He is currently the BCA treasurer, and is also the website administrator and responsible for sending out email updates about races and upcoming events.

He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell, and is currently a Ph.D. student in the Microrobotics Lab at the Harvard University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Jeremy Urban '00

Jeremy graduated in 2002 after competing on the men's lightweight team since 1998. He was the elected team president from 2000-2002. He has been a BCA board member since the 2002 transition to club varsity status, and currently serves as the Secretary.

After graduating from Bucknell, he received a Ph.D. in physics from Cornell University. He then went on to work as a consultant at national management consulting firm, and is currently a data analyst and researcher at a global management consulting firm.

Steve Ritchie '97

Steve graduated in 1997 after a four-year rowing career. As a charter member of the BCA he has been involved in fundraising and university and alumni relations.

He received a B.S.-B.A. in Management from Bucknell and an MBA from Georgetown University in 2004. He currently works in biotechnology and biopharmeceuticals with experience in strategy, operations and human resources.

Dave Silver '97

Dave graduated from Bucknell in 1997 as a four year member of the squad. During his four years he filled the roles of Team President, Treasurer, and editor of the Backsplash newsletter. He earned Academic All-American honors from US Rowing in 1996.

He received a BSBA in Accounting with a minor in Music from Bucknell and an MST from American University in 2004. He has over 14 years of public accounting experience and has also worked as an adjunct professor at Bellarmine University. He has served on both business and community Boards. He currently resides in the Washington DC metropolitan area with his wife and kids.

Kristen Zaccheo '96

Kristen was a four-year rower from 1992 to 1996 and captain of the women's team. She received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell and an M.S. in Library and Information Science from Drexel University in 1998.

Brian Burke '98

Brian graduated from Bucknell in 1998 after a four-year rowing career. He has coached for Villanova University and remains active in the rowing community in the Philadelphia area. He has worked in both the information technology and insurance industries.

Victor Arcelus '96

Victor graduated in 1996 after rowing for four years and serving as Lightweight Men’s Captain in his senior year. In his junior year, Victor helped coordinate Bucknell’s first trip to compete at the Royal Henley Regatta. Before Bucknell, he rowed in high school for Friends Academy. He is a founding member of the BCA and helped ensure the team's continued prosperity during and after the transition to club-varsity status. Victor earned his Ph.D. in Higher Education from The Pennsylvania State University and he is currently Assistant Dean and Director of Residence Life at Gettysburg College.

Bill Lafferty (parent '10)

Bill is the father of Kyle Lafferty '10, the team captain for the '09-'10 academic year. He and his wife have been instrumental in supporting the team through fundraising and attending races. Bill is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Synerfac Technical Staffing.

Ron Bernardi '80 (parent '11)

Ron is the father of Tom Bernardi '11 and graduated from Bucknell himself in 1980. He has been instrumental in advising the BCA, fundraising to support the team, and cheering the Bison on at races.

Al Monte (head coach)

Al joined the team as an assistant coach after a distinguished rowing career at Holy Cross, where he graduated with a B.A. in History, and became the head coach after previous coach Paul Bugenhagen departed Bucknell to coach at Hobart. You can read more about him on the coaches page.
